Sustainability report for three ministries

Each year, the ministries of Economic Affairs, Climate and Green Growth and Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature report on internal operations and results - in terms of sustainability, that is - in a sustainability report. In the context of practice what you preach the ministries want to further clarify their exemplary role.

Voxx prefers to work for clients concerned with sustainability, innovation and/or technology. Developing a sustainability report that highlights all three aspects is therefore a dream assignment.

For the anniversary edition in 2023, Voxx came up with an appealing concept based on 'stewardship'. For 2024, we developed a new concept. Using in-depth interviews and with a new visual concept, we developed both in 2023 as in 2024 a visually appealing and clear sustainability report, full of infographics and inspiring stories. The emphasis of the report is on visual storytelling. And all according to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines. How do you incorporate these guidelines in such a report?

The GRI guidelines were used in drafting the report and determining its content.

To prepare the information, Voxx developed a blueprint: an overview of what is important and how to give it form in words and images. We work as much as possible with a fixed structure and place outcomes along the bar of the GRI guidelines.

The right information comes from content experts from the ministries. Voxx turns it into a communicatively attractive and understandable sustainability report. In this process, we work closely with our clients. This results in an ever-improving work process and end result.

According to the GRI, a sustainability report should be factual, followable and verifiable. Good infographics and tables should contain verifiable data. That requires the right data. We then presented that data in a clear, readable and accessible way.

All visuals and texts are measured against the accessibility yardstick. Texts are B1 as much as possible and the infographics are all made digitally accessible as well.
